(''Tres'') green-yellow, position 27, complete to large margins on three sides, with part of upper frame line missing at top, very fresh impression, on 22 January 1859 cover from Buenos Aires to Carmelo (Uruguay) carried at double domestic rate (also applied to a bordering foreign country), tied by neat ''ponchito'' cancel with matching circular datestamp at left and, red Montevideo arrival also on front. One of less than five covers recorded with this value addressed to a foreign destination, being the latest recorded date of use for the 3 p. value.
