1859, 10 c. orange, stone A, large to huge margins for the most part showing frame line of neighbouring adhesive at right, in combination with 10 c. brown orange, stone B, ample margins all around, both tied to cover to Bogotá by two light strikes of ''Cartagena/Franca'' oval handstamp in blue, with franking required to pay the single weight postage corresponding to a distance between 450 and 1,350 km. Faint horizontal crease along cover which passes through a small portion of the design of stone B adhesive, of absolutely no significance for this gem of a cover. Illustrated on pages 11 and 34a of Dieter Bortfeldt's ''Colombia Philatelic Handbook and Catalogue''. An exceptional franking featuring two same denominations stamps in contrasting shades emanating from different stones, which is a unique occurrence in the classic period. Cert. Bortfeldt.
