1856-58 5 r. brown, die II, two copies (one with vertical crease), both with good margins for the most part, as well as 1855-56 “Straight Hair” 50 r. green and 100 r. lilac, complete to large margins, in mixed franking with 1862-64 D. Luís 5 r. brown, die II, two clear to large margined copies, all paying a double registered cover to Spain up to 15 “gramas” (100 r. registration fee+70 r. double weight postage) according to the recently applied Portuguese-Spanish Convention per 1.2.1863, on cover front from Lisbon to Badajoz (Spain), dated 18 February 1863. Stamps tied by “1” numeral postmarks with at bottom nearly complete Lisbon registration oval datestamp. An incredible combination including two Kings values and four different stamps of three different issues, being one of only two such mixed frankings recorded, the other just being a small piece.
