1872, October 7. Internal cover from Guatemala City to Mazatenango, covering the double weight letter rate not exceeding 1 oz. with 1871 10 c. blue, type B, tied by large numeral ''1'' showing blue ''Correos/Guatemala'' cds adjacent. Some discolouration just affecting the cover but of no significance. A very scarce example of double internal letter rate, of which only three covers are recorded, with the added significance of bearing a type B adhesive which is scarcer than type A. Cert. Moorhouse.
