1878, August 3. Cover from Zacapa to London, endorsed ''Por Belize'', bearing 1878 ''Indian Women'' 2 r. rose-red, tied by large ''18'' numeral handstamp with matching ''Correos de Zacapa'' cds at left, as well as British Honduras 1 s. green applied adjacent tied by barred oval ''O'' handstamp, for full pre-payment to London, showing corresponding Belize cds at bottom right dated 15 August. Illustrated on page 86 of Goodman's Guatemala handbook, first volume. This cover originally had two copies of 2 r. but one has subsequently been lost (in order to mask this loss the envelope was trimmed at right); also a diagonal crease slightly affecting the franking, of little consequence for this extraordinary item. One of only two recorded Guatemala - British Honduras combination covers, this also representing an early use of the ''Indian Women'' issue.
