1874, Dec. 26. Entire letter from Tampico to Mexico City, bearing 12 c. blue (Tampico, 40-74) covering the journey from Veracruz to final destination, tied by light strike of blue handstamp, in mixed franking with 4 d. vermilion, pl. 13, which paid the British maritime rate from Tampico to Veracruz, with both stamps tied by ''C63'' barred oval matching double arc of Tampico alongside, carried by British steamer ''Ebro''. A remarkable mixed franking of which only two are recorded with this Mexican value. Scott 109; SG Z3. Ex Rosenthal.
