1877, October 7. Envelope endorsed ''Kaiserlich deutsches Consulat für Guatemala'' from Guatemala City to Berlin, bearing single 1873 ''Arms'' 4 r. violet which covered the single rate per half ounce to an overseas destination outside America, tied by cds on dispatch with red ''Correos de Guatemala/Paquetes'' at left, also showing blue ''180'' steamship rating amended to ''80'' and ''T'' marking alongside, with London transit and arrival on back. Embossed seal of the German Consulate on back flap, which is not complete due to a small portion of paper loss. A very rare single franking, being one of the six only recorded by Goodman in his audit, this being the latest usage recorded. Cert. Moorhouse. Scott 5. Ex Speycher.
