1863, 2 r. grey on pink (Mexico District name), tied by 11 June cds on dispatch paying the double inland rate according to distance above 16 Leagues to Veracruz on cover addressed to Escoriaza (Spain), with 4 Reales due marking applied in transit at Vigo. The Cuban ''Ramón de Herrera'' Line covered the journey from Veracruz to Cuba by the steamer ''Mexico'', then transferred to the Spanish ''Antonio López y Cía.'' Line from Cuba to Spain, carried by the ''Santo Domingo'' steamer; both companies were successors to the ''Empresa de Correos Marítimos'' of Havana. A rare cover. Scott 8.
