1875, Nov. 28. Entire letter from Chios to Constantinople bearing Bulaq 20 pa. grey-blue and 1 pi. red tied by ''V.R. Poste Egiziane/Scio'' datestamp, repeated alongside. Very fine Egyptian P.O. datestamp of Constantinople on reverse. The adhesives have been lifted and replaced, nevertheless a rare entire. Signed Todd. S.G. 37, 38.

Italian P.O. in Egypt
. 1871, Sept 14. Entire letter from Cairo to Bologna (Italy) ''franked'' with 1867 1 pi. red and Italy 1863 40 c. red-carmine, both previously used and applied already cancelled. Manuscript on front ''Particolare'': from this endorsement, it may be deduced that the letter was carried privately and was ''franked'' in order to avoid the payment of postal dues, in case this service, contrary to the postal monopoly, was found out. A rare and very interesting postal fraud. Cert. Sorani. S.G. 14.

Poste Egiziane/Cairo'' cds, with strip of three of Italy 1863 40 c. rose carmine, paying the triple Italian rate and tied by ''234'' numerals matching Alexandria cds of the Italian P.O. alongside.
