1849-50, 10 c. bistre and 1 fr. carmine, two copies, all paying a single weight cover from Paris to Valparaiso (Chile), carried by British packet via Panama, with stamps tied by 'grille sans fin' with matching 15 December 1852 cds and London transit alongside. A very rare first issue cover addressed to a rare transatlantic destination. Cert. Behr. Maury 1, 6 = € 9'000.
