1843, 30 r. black, worn impression, horizontal pair with sheet margin at left, on piece of cover addressed to Portugal, tied by very elusive ornate oval ''Cidade/De/Campos'', paying the inland rate from Campos to Rio de Janeiro. The right-hand adhesive was also tied in transit by a blue framed Lisbon datestamp, with alongside blue Porto octagonal postmark dated 25.2.1845. Slight vertical crease affecting one adhesive, in no way detracting from this extremely rare piece, with less than five covers recorded in the Bull Eye's issue addressed to a foreign country, being enhanced by the scarce cancellation.
