Cover from Santiago to Buenos Aires, with dated docket inside and a further manuscript message on back for the addressee: ''si acaso con la llegada del aviso hay algunas noticias que presunten próximas guerras con España suspenderá el embarque de los doblones...''. Rated ''3 1/2'' reales in error (probably made up of 1 1/2 real to Mendoza plus 2 reales to Buenos Aires), instead of the correct 3 reales charge, bearing red ''Chyle'' & ''Franca'' handstamps. A scarce entire bearing both markings. SFC 41. Ex Marticorena and Blank.
