1853, 25 r. blue, die II, used together with 50 r. green, both very fresh stamps graced by predominantly large even margins, paying only the triple domestic rate on October 15, 1854 cover from Lisbon via Spain to Marseilles (France), tied by ''1'' numeral cancels, matching cds alongside, with French entry at St. Jean de Luz and due marking applied on arrival. Two slits for disinfection and Marseilles backstamp. An extremely rare first issue combination franking with very few such frankings recorded. An essential first issue showpiece. Cert. NFACP.
