1869-73, 1/2 r. blue, on single weight up to 1/4 oz entire letter from Guayaquil to Guaranda, tied by pointed ''P.I.'' cancellation with ''Guayaquil/1 Ene° 73'' cds adjacent. Faint horizontal crease hardly affecting the franking, nevertheless exhibiting a scarce cancellation, unusually used in Guayaquil. The late 1873 usage should command a premium. Scott 2.
