1861, ''Woodblock'' Issue, 4 d. vermilion error of colour, a very fine copy displaying a lovely rich colour, graced by even ample margins all around with a triangular cancellation. Small tear just entering the ''R'' of ''Four'' and negligible faint corner crease which is not visible on front and only mentioned for accuracy. This copy is of exquisite appearance for this famous and important error of the British empire, featuring incredibly well balanced and ample margins with the cancellation leaving the ''Four Pence'' denomination clear, undoubtedly one of the finest copies known in appearance.
