1858, March 5. Entire letter from Montevideo to Cádiz (Spain), entering the British P.O. on 7 March with ''Paid/At/Montevideo'' crown circle and matching double arc backstamp, placed on board RMSP ''Medway'', with this steamer unusually picking up mails from the West Cost of Africa at Teneriffe, where this mail was dropped off receiving the red Teneriffe cds struck on reverse, together with arrival magenta '1/-'' packet rate paid on dispatch and re ''8Rs'' for delivery in Spain.
