Front of large wrapper sent as official correspondence with "Por el Rey" heading with contents originating from Madrid, re-addressed with "Virrey" (viceroy) endorsement from Lima to Concepcion, to be forwarded to the Commander of the Veteran Troops and the Militia in the Province of Chiloé, initially rated "44" ( 11 ounces), this being crossed out and re-rated at "723/4" reales, bearing "Lima" straight-line and "Concepcion/De Chile" two-line handstamps, both applied in red. Carried by the "Ceres" frigate from Callao to Concepcion. A very rare and early re-addressed incoming mail.
