1805, Nov. 3. Entire letter from Caracas to Puerto de la Orotava (Tenerife, Canary Islands, Spain), directly carried by the "Santo Christo de! Grao" boat, cleanly struck by "Caracas" straight-line handstamp. Docket of receipt in January 1806. This very fresh entire represents one of the few examples of transatlantic mail emanating from Venezuela.
