567			RUSSIA used in MANCHURIA. Postcard from Newchang (Yingkow) to Liverpool franked by 4 k. rose tied by ''N° 13 Polevaya Pocht. Kont./1 Priamur. Okr. 1'' F.P.O. datestamp, repeated alongside. The F.P.O. n. 13, used in Newchang, was opened in 1900 during the Boxer Rebellion, when Russians occupied Manchuria, and it served later in the civilian offices until 1904. The non-withdrawing of Manchuria (officially called by the Russians Pri-Amur district) agreed, as well as the occupation of the only Manchurian treaty port, were one of the main causes of the 1904/05 War with Japan.
